Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is the least well-known of the three major Tuscan Appellations -- the other two are Chianti and Brunello -- though it is perhaps older: Renaissance poets were already singing its praises when Chianti was just a geographic term referring the the area between Florence and Siena, and Brunello hadn't yet been developed.
From 18th to 20th February, inside the ancient Fortress in Montapulciano, the Nobile 2009 (a 4 stars vintage) and the Riserva 2008 will be presented and it will be possible to taste them directly from the producers.
